Imrul Islam is a Bangladeshi-American resident currently enrolled at Vassar, where he is pursuing a Psychology major with a Political Science correlate. He is inspired by music and stories, which he strives to embed into the images he makes. Documentary photography is an area of keen interest to Imrul since it allows him to portray the human condition in its complicated simplicity. Most of the time however, Imrul takes photos for himself in an attempt to better understand his place in the world.
